How I work: innovation in four steps
I work in four steps. After each one you receive a clear document and you decide whether to go on: no project starts out of inertia, and no money is spent before you know whether it pays off.

Listening
I get to know the company where the work happens: in the office, in the workshop, on site, or remotely when you are abroad. You tell me your goals, problems and constraints; I learn about people, processes and market.
You get: a summary with the first opportunities.

Diagnosis
I measure where you stand on strategy, processes, data, customers, security and skills. I talk to the people who do the work every day and look at the figures and tools you already use.
You get: a report with priorities, risks and room for improvement.

Plan and resources
We choose what to do first and why. Each initiative has estimated costs, benefits and timing, and for each one I check whether an Italian or EU funding scheme can genuinely cover it.
You get: a roadmap with a timeline, an indicative budget and a funding plan.

Delivery and results
I coordinate suppliers and professionals from my network through to delivery. At the end we compare the results with the starting goals and decide the next step.
You get: regular progress updates, reporting documents and a final report with the indicators.
On what basis
The process follows the logic of ISO 56001, the international standard for innovation management, and the tasks that the Italian standard UNI 11814 assigns to a certified Innovation Manager. You do not need to seek certification: the standard gives the work a recognised structure, it is not an obligation.

Do I have to go through all four steps?
No. You can stop after any step and still receive a usable document. Many companies start with listening and diagnosis and decide afterwards whether to go further.
How long does it take?
Listening and diagnosis usually take a few weeks; the plan a few weeks more. Delivery lasts as long as the project, and in funded projects the maximum timeline is set by the scheme.
Can we work remotely and in English?
Yes. I am based in Lecce, Italy, and work in Italian and English. Interviews, workshops and progress meetings can be held online; site visits in Italy are planned when they add value.
Why do you refer to ISO 56001 if I do not want to be certified?
Because it is the international standard for innovation management: following it ensures an orderly, verifiable method. Certification is a separate, optional choice.
