Digital strategy and marketing: goals, channels, measurement
A digital strategy is the plan that links your business goals to what you do online: who you want to reach, with what message, on which channels, with what budget and how you measure the return. I help you write it, put it into practice with the right people and correct it based on the figures.

Ing. Vito Domenico Amodio
Engineer and Innovation Manager, I work with you directly
- UNI 11814 Innovation Manager · Apave no. 38-M
- Licensed engineer, Lecce no. 4603
- Listed by MISE as innovation manager in 2019
- Working with SMEs since 2014
This is the work I started with. In 2014, as a Digital Evangelist for Eccellenze in Digitale, a programme run by Google and Unioncamere (the Italian Chambers of Commerce association), I held over 30 meetings with SMEs at the Chamber of Commerce of Brindisi on online sales, branding and communication. Since then I have worked on digital strategies for universities, local action groups, tourism bodies and companies.
When you need it
SMEs investing online without a plan
Some social media, an outdated website, a few campaigns tried and dropped.
Companies that want to sell online
Through their own e-commerce site or on marketplaces.
Foreign companies entering the Italian market
Or opening a site in Southern Italy, that need positioning and channels adapted to Italian customers.
Agrifood, craft and tourism businesses
That need to tell the story of a product rooted in its territory, in Italy and abroad.
Anyone launching a new product or service
Who wants a measurable launch plan.
Public bodies and consortia
That manage communication for a territory or a business network.
What I do
Starting analysis
Website, social media, campaigns, search engine visibility, competitors, reviews, sales data.
Positioning and messages
What makes you different, in your customers’ own words.
Channel plan
Website, e-commerce, marketplaces, social media, email, paid campaigns, trade fairs and offline channels where they matter.
Website and e-commerce requirements
Content architecture, features, integration with ERP and CRM, SEO, accessibility, multilingual setup.
Budget and calendar
Of activities.
Measurement
Analytics, conversion goals, dashboard, regular reports.
Supplier direction
Clear briefs for agencies, designers, developers and content creators.
When technical work is needed, such as a website, an e-commerce site or software, I tell you in advance if I am proposing Moviweb S.r.l., the agency in Lecce where I am CIO: the choice of supplier stays with you and you can work with whoever you prefer.
How I work
Listening
In an introductory call you tell me about your goals, customers, products and what you have already tried.
Diagnosis
With a digital audit I analyse your online presence and that of your main competitors.
Plan and resources
I present a strategy document with positioning, audience, channels, messages, budget and indicators. I turn it into an operational plan: calendar of activities, assignment of tasks, briefs for suppliers.
Delivery and results
I oversee the launch, check quality and solve problems. Every month or quarter we read the figures and adjust course.
These are the four steps of the method I follow in every project.
What you get
Digital presence audit
with strengths and gaps.
Digital strategy document
goals, audience, positioning, channels, budget.
Editorial plan and calendar
of activities.
Requirements document
for a website or e-commerce site, if needed.
Indicator dashboard
and regular reports.
Supplier briefs
you can reuse.
Next steps
If your strategy requires investment in a website, e-commerce or software, some Italian grants and vouchers for digitalisation may cover part of it: see Grants and public funding. One example is the Santa Ottomano case, where the company obtained Invitalia funding to develop its web portal. If digital strategy is only one part of a wider change, start from the digital assessment and roadmap.

How it went for a client

Frequently asked questions
Can't find your question? Write to me and I will answer.
Do you run social media or ad campaigns yourself?
My job is the strategy: goals, audience, messages, channels, budget and measurement. Day-to-day execution goes to professionals in my network or to your team, and I keep it under control through regular reports. That way you have a single point of direction even when several people are involved.
Do I need a new website?
Maybe, maybe not. To start, I look at what your website does today: how many people visit it, where they come from, what they do and how many enquiries it generates. Often it is enough to work on content, speed and measurement. If a rebuild is needed, I write the requirements document and oversee delivery.
Can you help us enter the Italian market, or help an Italian producer sell abroad?
Yes, both. I started with Eccellenze in Digitale, a Google and Unioncamere programme helping Italian SMEs take Made in Italy products online, and my master’s at LUM covered international strategies for agrifood. I work on e-commerce, marketplaces and positioning for foreign markets, and on local positioning for companies arriving in Italy.
How do we measure results?
At the start we choose a few indicators tied to your business goals: qualified enquiries, quotes, online sales, returning customers. I set up the analytics tools and a simple dashboard. Follower numbers alone do not tell you whether a strategy is working.
